Drinking card games

 

Drinking games are those that include drinking of beer or other alcoholic beverages while playing the games. Such games are generally arranged at house parties, public bars or pubs. These games follow a version of the International Drinking rules. The intention is to drink competitively for speed or win as others are getting over drunk. College students, young adults and high school students are the frequent participants of this game. The various types of these games include endurance games; loser buys games, speed games, thinking games, coordination games, card games, dice games, tolerance games and movie games.

 

Card games

 

The different drinking card games are asshole, fuck the dealer, kings, pyramid, connections, horserace, and liar’s poker and ride the bus.

 

President

 

This is an Americanized drinking game. It is also called as Presidents & Slime or President or Scum or Capitalism or Schlub. This is a version of Dai Hin Min. This is a game for three or more players. The objective of the players is to get rid of all the cards in their hands to become the President in the next round.

 

Connections

 

This game generally has 3 or more players. The equipment for this game is a standard deck of playing cards and beer. When two persons turn over their top cards, if there is a connection between the two cards like the same suit or face value, the player drinks the face value of his own card.

 

Play  the dealer

 

This game can be played by two people also. If the first guess is correct, the dealer drinks for 10 seconds. If the second guess is right, the dealer has to drink for 5 seconds. If the first guess is wrong, the dealer says “higher” or “lower” and the player re-guesses. If the second guess is wrong, the player drinks for that number of seconds as were off from the actual number.

 

Horserace

 

The player’s place bets on a particular suit of cards and cheer their chosen horse as it races and drink as per the result. This is an exciting game that comprises of a talented announcer, a related crowd and subsequent rounds.

 

Kings

 

This is also called as King’s Cup, Circle of death or Ring of fire. A standard deck of playing cards are used. These are shuffled and spread on a table in a circle. Each player draws one card at a time. Every card has a varying action linked with it. The cards from two to eight are worth their face value in drinks.

 

Liar’s poker

 

This bar game mixes statistical reasoning with bluffing. It is played with the eight-digit serial number on a dollar bill. The game is played with a group of random bills from the cash register.

 

Pyramid

 

The objective of this game is to cause other players to drink on the basis of the cards they think you have.

 

Ride the bus

 

The recommended number of players is from 3 to 7. In case there are eight, one of them becomes a dealer and gets no hand. The objective of the game is to have least number of cards at the end of the round.
